British alcohol-free craft beer producer founded in 2020, specialising in flavour-forward beers brewed specifically for low-alcohol fermentation. Working with trusted UK brewing partners, Mash Gang creates inventive 0.5% ABV IPAs, lagers, stouts and experimental releases, including its flagship Chug Hazy IPA.
Brewery story
Mash Gang began in 2020 as an experiment between friends who believed alcohol-free beer deserved the same creativity, flavour and excitement as modern craft brewing. Rather than accepting the limitations of conventional low-alcohol beer, the team set out to create bold, expressive beers that could stand alongside their full-strength counterparts. What began as a small project quickly developed into a specialist alcohol-free beer brand.
Central to Mash Gang's approach is brewing specifically for low alcohol rather than removing alcohol from finished beer. Led by head brewer Jordan Childs, the team uses specially selected yeast strains, carefully designed malt profiles and expressive hop combinations to create body, aroma and complexity at around 0.5% ABV. Working with trusted British brewing partners, Mash Gang has developed more than 200 experimental beers while continually refining its recipes.
The brewery's range demonstrates just how varied alcohol-free beer can be. Flagship Hazy IPA Chug delivers tropical flavours of mango, passionfruit and grapefruit, while Glug offers a crisp, refreshing Cerveza-style lager. More adventurous releases include Journey Juice, combining mango, lime and chilli-salt seasoning, and Lesser Evil, a rich cherry chocolate stout with cacao and vanilla.
Mash Gang has built its identity around making alcohol-free beer an enjoyable choice in its own right, rather than simply an alternative to drinking alcohol. From everyday lagers to experimental fruit beers and decadent stouts, its focus remains on flavour, drinkability and creative brewing. The result is a distinctly modern approach to alcohol-free beer that refuses to compromise on character.
