Brewery story
Brewis Beer Co is a small family-run brewery based at Coquet Enterprise Park in Amble, on the Northumberland coast.
The brewery operates on a deliberately small scale, producing a changing range of beers onsite for sale directly through its own taproom.
Rather than focusing on wider distribution, Brewis has built its identity around drinking beer at source. The brewery states that its beers are only sold through the taproom, making the Amble venue central to the business.
Alongside Brewis's own beers, the taproom serves a rotating selection of guest beers, wines, local spirits, alcohol-free options and soft drinks, giving the venue a broader neighbourhood-bar feel while keeping the brewery's own beer at its core.
Food is provided by a changing line-up of visiting vendors whenever the taproom is open, with the brewery regularly publishing upcoming traders through its events calendar.
The venue also hosts events including quizzes and DJ sessions, while larger groups can arrange bookings and the taproom can be privately hired on selected days.
Today, Brewis combines its small-scale brewery, taproom and bottle shop into a single destination in Amble, centred on locally brewed beer, independent food and a casual community-focused atmosphere.
