Brewery story
About Gipsy Hill Brewing Company
Founded in 2014 in South London, Gipsy Hill Brewing Co. has grown from a local passion project into one of the capital's most respected independent craft breweries. Based in Lambeth, just a short walk from Gipsy Hill Station, the brewery has built its reputation on producing full-flavoured, highly drinkable beers that appeal to both craft beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.
Best known for its flagship Hepcat Session IPA and the innovative HepcAF alcohol-free range, Gipsy Hill has always focused on balancing flavour, quality, and accessibility. Their beers reflect a commitment to modern brewing while remaining approachable and easy to enjoy.
Community sits at the heart of everything Gipsy Hill does. Their popular taproom, located directly opposite the brewery, serves a rotating selection of fresh core and seasonal beers alongside local street food and partnerships with neighbouring businesses. It has become a hub for locals and visitors alike, embodying the brewery's belief that great beer brings people together.
Sustainability is equally important to Gipsy Hill's identity. The brewery actively champions circular ecological practices through the use of recyclable, water-soluble packaging and initiatives designed to minimise waste, including offering discounted 'perfectly imperfect' cans that might otherwise go unused.
After embracing an employee-ownership model during its growth, Gipsy Hill entered a new chapter in late 2024 when it joined Sunrise Alliance Beverages Group. The partnership provides additional support for expansion while allowing the brewery to continue brewing the characterful beers and fostering the community spirit that have defined Gipsy Hill since day one.
