About Hammerton Brewery
Hammerton Brewery was founded in 2014 by Lee Hammerton, who left a career in IT to revive his family's brewing heritage, dating back to the 1950s. Together with co-founder Karina Benavente, the brewery opened in Islington with a vision of creating modern craft beer rooted in London's brewing tradition.
Their first release, N7 IPA, established the brewery's reputation for combining classic styles with contemporary hop character. Since then, Hammerton has brewed more than seven million pints and developed a diverse core range spanning IPAs, lagers, gluten-free beers, fruit-forward specials and award-winning stouts.
Innovation remains central to the brewery's identity, with regular small-batch releases and seasonal beers sitting alongside established favourites such as Crunch Peanut Butter Milk Stout, City of Cake and Panama. Hammerton beers are now enjoyed throughout the UK and internationally, with exports reaching Europe and Asia.
Operating from its brewery and taproom in Islington, Hammerton continues to focus on quality ingredients, creative brewing and sustainable production, reducing water use, lowering carbon emissions and using recyclable packaging wherever possible.
