About Left Handed Giant
Left Handed Giant is a Bristol-based brewery producing a wide range of modern beer styles across two brewing sites in the city. Its story began in 2014, when Rich Poole brought his beer into Small Bar and met Bruce Gray and Jack Granger, leading to an early 200-litre brewing setup behind the bar and the creation of a cuckoo brewery operation.
The brewery established its own production site in 2017 before raising more than £1 million from the local community to open its Finzels Reach Brewpub overlooking Bristol’s floating harbour in 2019. Today, Left Handed Giant produces around 7,000 hectolitres of beer each year, much of it served directly through its brewpub, St Philips Tap Room and Small Bar.
Founder, employee and community owned, the business has around 1,500 shareholders, with more than 80% based in Bristol postcode areas.

Located alongside the St Philips brewery, the Left Handed Giant Taproom serves the brewery's freshest beers across 11 taps, including new releases often available here first.
