Lost and Grounded Brewers

Lost and Grounded Brewers was established in Bristol in July 2016, built around a fascination with the precision of German brewing and the distinctive character of Belgian beer. Lager has been central from the beginning, with the brewery designed around making its flagship Keller Pils and a wider range spanning lagers, pale ales, tripels and darker styles.

At the heart of the brewery is a German-built Krones brewhouse equipped with a traditional lactic acid propagation plant. This naturally produces sour wort that can be used to adjust acidity during brewing, helping Lost and Grounded work with Bristol's alkaline water while creating the balance and depth it seeks in its beers. Malt is sourced from Germany and Belgium, and all of the brewery's beers are unfiltered and vegan-friendly.

The brewery's taproom sits directly beside the brewhouse, providing a spacious and inclusive place to drink the beers at their source. Lost and Grounded has been a Living Wage Foundation Employer since opening and supports the Everyone Welcome Initiative, with that approach extending to a family-friendly taproom welcoming children and dogs.

Visitors can also explore the brewery through guided tours, which include a look behind the scenes, beer tasted directly from the tank and a guided flight. Together, the brewhouse, taproom and tours reflect Lost and Grounded's combination of technically precise brewing with a relaxed and accessible approach to enjoying beer.
