Anthology Brewing Co

Anthology Brewing Company was established in 2018 in Armley, Leeds, as a small independent brewery with a focus on variety, creativity and collaboration. Operating as a one-person business, Anthology takes a hands-on approach to brewing, producing beers in relatively small batches rather than concentrating on a fixed range. Its name reflects a constantly evolving collection of beers, each offering something different for drinkers to discover.

Based at Armley Link on Armley Road, the brewery operates a five-hectolitre brewing system, producing both cask and keg beers for pubs and bars across Yorkshire and further afield. Seasonal ingredients and changing tastes influence its rotating selection, allowing Anthology to explore different styles and flavours throughout the year. This flexibility has become a defining characteristic of the brewery's approach to independent beer.

Collaboration plays an important role in Anthology's identity. Alongside working with like-minded people in the brewing industry, the brewery has partnered with artistic and charitable organisations, bringing together beer and the wider creative community. Anthology also produces dedicated house beers for well-known Leeds venues including Wharf Chambers and Friends of Ham, strengthening its connections with the city's independent hospitality scene.

Despite its small scale, Anthology has developed a presence beyond its Armley home through its changing range of beers and relationships with local venues. Its emphasis on seasonal brewing, independent collaboration and producing beer for the places where people gather reflects the character of Leeds' thriving beer community. By keeping production flexible and personal, Anthology continues to offer an alternative to larger breweries and more conventional core ranges.
