Little Critters

Little Critters grew from two Sheffield pubs, the Fox & Duck in Broomhill, opened in 2012, and the Doctor's Orders on Glossop Road, which followed in 2014. With cask beer central to both pubs, the team began homebrewing and experimenting with recipes before deciding to establish a brewery of their own.

In late 2015, the team found a unit in Sheffield's Kelham area and built the brewery from the ground up, installing the equipment, assembling an experienced brewing team and bringing sales and deliveries in-house. Little Critters opened in 2016 and developed around a 10-barrel brewing plant, with cask remaining at the heart of production.

Today, Little Critters produces small-batch beers for pubs, bars and independent venues, delivering directly within 50 miles of Sheffield and working with wholesalers across the UK. Its beers have received recognition from CAMRA and SIBA, while the brewery continues to combine traditional cask brewing with the experimental approach that began around its original home-brew kettle.
