Nailmaker is a Yorkshire brewery based in a former carpet mill beside the River Dearne in Darton. Brewing on an eight-barrel plant with a strong focus on real ale, it produces an extensive range across cask and packaged formats and operates an onsite taproom alongside a collection of pubs.
Brewery story
Nailmaker Brewing Co is based in an old carpet mill beside the River Dearne in Darton, near Barnsley. Its eight-barrel brewing plant can produce up to 576 gallons a week, with real ale at the heart of an extensive and continually evolving range.
Alongside its draught cask beers, Nailmaker packages beer in bottles, cans, pouches and beer-in-a-box. The brewery has also developed a wider hospitality business through pubs including the Anvil Arms in Darton, the Talbot Inn and Wentworth Arms in Mapplewell, Tap 2 in Barnsley, the Wharf in Wakefield and the Ark in Flockton.
Visitors can drink at the brewery itself through Nailmaker's onsite taproom, which opens at weekends with food and music and is also available for private events. Brewery and distillery tours are available by arrangement, offering visitors a closer look at production at the Darton site.
