Unity Brewing Co. is an independent craft brewery founded in Southampton in 2016. Based at its brewery and taproom in Northam, Unity produces modern, balanced beers ranging from hazy IPAs and crisp lagers to stouts and fruit sours, with a focus on bringing people together through good beer.
Brewery story
Unity Brewing Co. was founded in Southampton in 2016 with a belief that beer should bring people together. Initially focused on Belgian-inspired styles, the brewery began on a 10-hectolitre kit in a small unit, bottling its beers and developing an approach centred on modern, balanced brewing and beers designed to be enjoyed with friends, alongside food or wherever good beer belongs.
As Unity grew, so did the range of beer it produced. The brewery expanded beyond its Belgian influences to embrace styles including hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, silky stouts and fruit-forward sours. In the winter of 2019, Unity opened its expanded brewery and taproom in Northam, moving production onto a larger 16-barrel brewing kit.
Unity entered a new chapter under new ownership in 2023, renewing its focus on its core beers and Southampton's local beer community. Alongside its established range, the brewery continues to experiment with seasonal and special releases, with its beers reaching independent craft beer retailers and drinkers across the UK.
