About Elusive Brewing

Elusive Brewing was established in Berkshire in 2016 and operates from Finchampstead, close to Wokingham and Reading. The independent brewery has developed a reputation for producing flavour-led modern beer, with a particular focus on West Coast IPAs, stouts and seasonal releases inspired by the American craft brewing tradition.

The brewery operates with around 110 hectolitres of tank capacity and produces beer across cask, KeyKeg and cans, with its beers left unfiltered and unpasteurised. Collaboration has long been part of Elusive's approach, with the brewery regularly working alongside other brewers and taking part in collaborative releases and tap takeovers.

Elusive is especially well known for its hop-forward beers and has received recognition across a number of major UK beer competitions. Its beers have earned accolades including UK's Best American IPA at the World Beer Awards and CAMRA National Champion IPA, alongside numerous CAMRA and SIBA awards.

Alongside its core focus on West Coast-inspired beer, Elusive produces a diverse and changing range of seasonal styles. The brewery combines an appreciation of classic American craft beer with experimentation and collaboration, creating beers that range from bright, hop-driven pale ales and IPAs to rich stouts and more limited releases.

The brewery's Finchampstead taproom and shop provides a direct connection between Elusive and its local community. Open each week, it serves beers brewed on site alongside occasional guest beers, fresh cans and growler fills. Retro computer games, a covered outdoor area and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere give the taproom a distinctive character of its own.
