Brewery story
Lost Cause Brewing Co. was established in Castleford in 2024 by husband-and-wife team Colin and Vik Stronge, two beer industry veterans with more than 40 years of combined experience.
The brewery is now based on Calder Vale Road in Wakefield, where its beer is produced on a 10-hectolitre brewhouse. Lost Cause focuses primarily on modern keg and canned beer, alongside occasional cask releases.
The Wakefield brewery is also home to a relaxed taproom serving beer directly from the source. Open from Thursday to Sunday, it hosts rotating street-food vendors and occasional events, and is both dog and family friendly.
Taproom
Lost Cause's onsite brewery taproom, serving beer brewed on its 10hl brewhouse alongside wines, spirits, Yorkshire cider, soft drinks and locally roasted coffee. Regular street-food pop-ups provide food, with vegan and vegetarian options available.
