A small Leeds craft brewery combining Yorkshire brewing influences with Venezuelan roots. Piglove specialises in bold, fragrant and unconventional beers, often experimenting with unusual ingredients and flavours from around the world.
Brewery story
Piglove takes its name from the Venezuelan expression 'cochino amor' — a love for something so big, raw and passionate that it becomes filthy. For Piglove, that obsession is brewing, capturing the founders' enthusiasm for getting stuck into the process and continually experimenting with new ideas.
The brewery brings together an admiration for Britain's brewing heritage, particularly that of Yorkshire, with influences from its co-founder's Venezuelan roots. That combination gives Piglove a deliberately different outlook, pairing local brewing tradition with flavours and ideas drawn from further afield.
Experimentation sits at the heart of the brewery. Piglove seeks out unusual and exotic ingredients to produce bold, fragrant beers, adding what it describes as a little eccentricity to what it brews. Its riverside Leeds taproom, Piglove by the River, gives the brewery a place to serve those beers directly alongside visiting street-food traders.
Taproom
Piglove's riverside taproom sits beside the River Aire in Leeds' Climate Innovation District. It offers Piglove beers with outdoor riverside benches for warmer days and a heated indoor space when the weather turns. Visiting food trucks regularly provide food alongside the beer.
