Brewery story
Stardust Brewery was established in 2016 in White Waltham, Berkshire, founded on a shared enthusiasm for malt, hops and the craft of brewing. What began with curiosity, tasting and experimentation developed into an independent, family-owned brewery focused on creating beers for different occasions. Based at Howe Lane Farm Estate, just outside Maidenhead, Stardust built its identity around quality, flavour and the social experiences associated with enjoying beer. Its approach embraces both approachable everyday beers and more expressive, hop-forward styles.
As the brewery developed, Stardust expanded its production and distribution while retaining its independent, family-run character. In 2023, brewing capacity increased to 12 barrels, allowing the business to supply a wider range of customers. Its beers are distributed directly to pubs and other trade outlets across Berkshire and surrounding counties, with additional distribution extending further afield. Alongside its wholesale business, Stardust operates an online shop offering beer for delivery and direct purchase.
The brewery produces beers suited to a variety of tastes and occasions, balancing accessible drinking styles with more adventurous, hop-forward recipes. Its philosophy centres on the belief that beer is as much about people and shared experiences as the drink itself. Customers can visit the working brewery at Howe Lane Farm Estate, where a small bar and shop offer opportunities to sample and purchase beers directly. Available formats include 440ml cans and bright beer from cask or keg, while visitors can also bring suitable containers for growler refills.
Today, Stardust remains an independent brewery with a strong connection to its Berkshire surroundings. Its onsite shop and informal bar provide a direct link between the brewing process and customers, while its growing trade network makes its beers available across the region and beyond. As a member of the Society of Independent Brewers and a participant in the Indie Beer Sold Here initiative, Stardust reflects the continuing importance of independent beer production. From its beginnings in 2016 to its expanded brewing capacity, the brewery continues to focus on producing carefully crafted beers for everyday enjoyment and memorable occasions.
