Brewery story
About Turning Point Brew Co
Turning Point Brew Co. was founded by friends Cameron Brown and Aron McMahon, who began brewing in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, in 2017. The pair left their day jobs behind to launch the brewery, setting out to brew distinctive beers while learning, experimenting and having as much fun with the process as possible.
After just over two years at its original home, Turning Point relocated to Knaresborough in 2019, taking over the former Rooster's Brewery site. From there, the brewery has continued to produce an ever-changing range of beers, with a particular enthusiasm for hops, good music and the space-travel-inspired personality that runs throughout the Turning Point brand. Its beers are unfined and unfiltered.
Turning Point also has its own places to enjoy its beers on draught. The Falcon on Micklegate serves as the brewery tap, while The Outpost on Piccadilly in York provides a second outlet for Turning Point beers and the brewery's distinctive take on modern independent brewing.
