Independent brewery founded in 2003 and based in Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales. Wensleydale produces a core range alongside regularly changing specials and supplies pubs across Northern England, with an onsite brewery shop and weekend taproom.
Brewery story
Wensleydale Brewery began in 2003 at the Foresters Arms in Carlton with a one-barrel brewing plant before expanding to a five-barrel setup at Manor Farm Barn in Bellerby.
After Geoff and Carl took ownership, continued growth led to a move to Leyburn in 2018 and a substantially larger brewing operation. Its distribution has since expanded across Northern England.
In 2025 the brewery opened an upstairs taproom, complementing its onsite shop and giving visitors the chance to drink its cask and keg beers at the brewery.
